Producer/composer Jonah Mociun says, "Unlike in the past, I ensured that David was in a good mood while we made this, keeping him filled with food & soft drinks, and only recording when he wanted to. And I wasn't too controlling; just let him follow his whims. And I left more of the imperfections than I have before. He also went wild on the backup vocals. I'd say it's his happiest, most adventurous, & most genuine work."
